The Nest - nurture
From September 2024, we have a nurture space at the centre of our school building. We refer to this as 'The Nest'. This will be a place for our children and our families to access help and support in a safe and calm environment. At other times, children will use the room under the supervision of our Learning Mentor, to work on developing their own their social, emotional and mental health.
BounceTogether
At Broughton CE Primary, we prioritise the wellbeing of our students and staff. That’s why we’ve partnered with BounceTogether to regularly assess and track the physical, emotional, and social health of our school community, enabling us to proactively implement positive changes that support the wellbeing of all our members.
Our children have really benefitted from our partnership with BounceTogether. Some of their quotes regarding using the surveys are:
"When I've finished the survey I feel good because I've let my worries and the things holding me down, roll off my shoulders."
"If someone asks how you are doing in person, you feel put on the spot and can feel a lot of pressure. With the surveys, I can put it on the iPad and I know the teacher will talk with me about it."
