Music

Year 2- Glockenspiels

Year 2 have been working extremely hard with their listening skills and have been learning how to play the notes G A G on the glockenspiels. 

Nursery - Percussion

The music area is very popular in nursery with lots of children enjoying exploring the different instruments during continuous provision time.

Year 3 - Recorders

Year 3 are thoroughly enjoying learning how to play the recorder this half term, well done everyone, it’s sounding brilliant!n

Nursery - Learning about volume

Nursery enjoyed playing with the musical instruments and finding out how to make them louder or quieter. The children even took it in turns being the conductor and using hand signals to tell the other children to go louder or quieter.

Year 5 - Westholme Music Trip

A massive thank you to Westholme school for providing all of Year 5 with an excellent day of live music and singing workshops. The children learnt so much about singing and had a brilliant time.

Year 1- Round and Round

Year 1 really enjoyed performing Round and Round. They thoroughly enjoyed practicing each verse before putting them together to perform in an ensemble.

Year 2 have been learning how to improvise using the notes C and D. We discussed how improvisation is used in Jazz and Blues music and how we can create different rhythms.
