Teddy's Nursery

Welcome to Teddy’s Nursery

Meet the Teacher presentation

Our Gallery

Teddy's Nursery opened in September 2017 and provides education for children from their third birthday. The provision operates as a separate class with qualified teachers leading the learning. The nursery classroom is located next to the reception classroom and the children share an outdoor area.

Forest School in Winter

Healthy me!

As part of our 'Healthy Me' topic we have been making our own healthy sandwiches. The children helped to peel the eggs and make the salad for the sandwiches. All the children enjoyed eating the healthy sandwiches once they had been made.

Story mapping

For literacy we have been reading, 'The Gigantic Turnip' story. We have discussed the sequence of the story and acted out the story. The children then made their own story map showing the animals included within the story. All the children worked together on this task.

Forest School

Forest School is a time to enjoy the great outdoors. The children embrace the time to explore, listen and use their imagination with natural resources. During the past few weeks we have been making bird feeders, celebrating Lunar New Year and playing parachute games. We have also been using the sticks as fishing rods, tools and wands!

The fire engine came to visit!

As part of our 'Transport' topic we invited the fire engine to visit school. They showed us all the tools on the engine and explained what they used them for. The fire people also showed us how they use the water hose to put out the fires.

This week in nursery we celebrated Diwali.  We read the story of Rama and Sita, made diva pots, drew rangoli patterns  and tried some poppadoms, naan breads and mango chutney.  We all agreed they were delicious!

Children in Need Day

We have had a great day taking part in Children in Need Day, we joined Joe Wicks’ P.E.session, made Pudsey Bear split pin bears and then went on a bear hunt to find Pudsey.
