Welcome to Teddy’s Nursery
Teddy's Nursery opened in September 2017 and provides education for children from their third birthday. The provision operates as a separate class with qualified teachers leading the learning. The nursery classroom is located next to the reception classroom and the children share an outdoor area.
Eco Week- Traffic light sandwiches
During eco week we thought about healthy food choices and made traffic light sandwiches consisting of tomato, cheese and lettuce. We all tried the sandwiches and the general opinion was that they were ‘yummy’.
Today we made ‘bear cakes’ using the mud kitchen and available resources. We added sand, mud, apples, pebbles and water until it was ‘just perfect’ for the bear. Hopefully he enjoys eating it as much as we enjoyed making them.
This week in nursery we celebrated Diwali. We read the story of Rama and Sita, made diva pots, drew rangoli patterns and tried some poppadoms, naan breads and mango chutney. We all agreed they were delicious!
We have had a great day taking part in Children in Need Day, we joined Joe Wicks’ P.E.session, made Pudsey Bear split pin bears and then went on a bear hunt to find Pudsey.
Over the past few weeks we have been enjoying our new Forest School area. We have been extremely busy making leaf litter sculptures, bug hunting and then creating a new 'bug hotel'.
