Dear Parents,
RE: School Closure for Today
We am writing to inform you that our school will be closed today due to unforeseen circumstances. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding and support during this time.
While the school is closed, we would like to ensure that your child continues to engage in their academic development. We have prepared some tasks for them to complete from home in order to maintain their progress and consolidate their learning.
For English, we would like the children to complete the SPAG.com 'Grammar - Y5 (A)' exercise. This will provide them with an opportunity to further enhance their grammar knowledge and skills.
In terms of Mathematics, the following Mathletics tasks have been assigned:
- Estimate Products
- Mental Methods Multiplication
- Mental Methods Division 1
- Estimation: Multiply and Divide
Additionally, we kindly request that your child completes another task from the 'Autumn 2 Homework' provided. This means that they will be expected to complete a total of 3 out of the 6 topic homework tasks, by the end of this half term. By doing so, they will reinforce the knowledge and skills acquired during their classroom learning.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for your ongoing support and understanding. We understand that such situations can be disruptive, and we appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that your child's education remains a priority even in challenging times.
We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed regarding any further developments or changes.
Thank you once again for your cooperation, understanding, and commitment to your child's education.
Kind regards,
Ms Lowe, Mrs Simpson and Mr Flannigan
