About Us

We accept children at Teddy’s from the age of three. We are open from 8.30am until 3.30pm. If you do require before and after school club then this is available also for the nursery children from 7.30am until 5.30pm. This takes place in the Teddy’s setting with familiar staff for the children. 

For lunch your child can choose from a hot dinner which is cooked on site at a cost of £1.50 per meal or if you choose to then you can provide your child with a packed lunch. Dinner orders need to be placed by 9.00am for each day. The food choices are varied and allow for all dietary requirements. 

We have a Teddy’s jumper to purchase for your child. Please dress your children in old casual clothes which they are comfortable in. We will not apologise for muddy or dirty clothes as this means that they have been learning. We are teaching your child to be independent while at nursery so please send them in clothes and footwear that they can put on and off themselves. Puddle suits and wellies need to be kept at nursery for outdoor learning. 

We have four members of staff working within Teddy’s. Mrs Needham is the nursery teacher, Miss Bristo is a full time nursery nurse, Mrs Cole is also a nursery nurse and works Monday until Wednesday and Mrs Brambles is the nursery teacher on a Friday. We have a key worker system and your child will be allocated one member of staff to be their key worker. 

The daily timetable consists of an english, maths and phonics session. We provide a piece of fruit as snack which the children can choose to eat throughout the day. We also have milk before the end of the day which is free for the children by applying through cool milk.
