Children in LKS2 have been learning about what a prototype is and how they can help us to improve our own final products. They used J-cloths to create prototypes and pattern pieces to see how their final pieces might look.

Elm class have been investigating how fabrics can be joined using different techniques.




The children in Years 1 and 2 used their new textiles skills to design, make and evaluate a Christmas stocking.
They had to:
Cut out the shape of the stocking which had been created by drawing round a template
Join the two pieces of fabric together using running stitch
