Children

This area has been requested by the children. It is a place where you will find resources for children to use and, where possible, software and files to download.
Whilst we make every effort to make sure downloads made available are tested and virus free, the school cannot be held responsible for any difficulties which may arise from the use of these resources.
CHILDREN - always ask your parent's permission before downloading and installing software.

Crayon Physics : Zipped (compressed) file (5913.4k)

This is a free piece of software that encourages children to think about different solutions to the problem of moving a crayon ball to meet and collect a star. There are five different levels, each with more difficult obstacles than the last. Click here to download.

To use, download the zip file, create a suitable folder on your hard drive and extract the zip file to this folder. Run the "crayon.exe" file from the folder that you have created to start the program (you could create a shortcut on your desktop if you like). Tested on Windows XP only.

The aim of the game is to move the red ball so that it collects the stars. You can influence the red ball by drawing objects that can be dropped to nudge or support the ball. With left mouse button you can draw and with right you can remove objects. Space - Will reset the level. Esc - Will open the menu.

Pivot Stickfigure Animator is a unique software, that allows you to create stick figure animations easily and without any artistic skills. You can move the sections of the sick figure and easily create a chain of animation frames that can be previewed as you go. You can use more than one stick-figure in the animation, and even create your own stick figures using an easy to use visual editor that lets you assemble objects out of lines and circles. In addition, you can optionally set animation size, speed and more. The result can be saved as an animated GIF that can be used in websites or just viewed with a web browser.
