Football Development Programme

|

The children enjoyed playing football in the beautiful weather. They learned how to dribble the ball with different parts of their feet and also made a meal plan for a footballer. 

DT Day

|

Yesterday, KS1 joined together to have a DT Day. The children made objects for their bedrooms out of recycled materials. 

Samba drumming

|

The children had a fantastic time learning different samba rhythms as part of Arts Week. 

Music

|

The children have been enjoying their weekly music lessons with Mr Scott-Thomas. The have been learning to use their voices expressively whilst singing different songs and have had great fun learning the different actions to go with the songs. 

Dance Class

|

The children have been enjoying an energetic dance class on Tuesday mornings. This will continue for the rest of the half term. The children are learning some key skills such as: balance, moving in time to the music, control and co-ordination. They will be learning different dance moves and will be putting them together in sequences to create group dance routines. 

Farmvention Competition

|

The children had a great time designing their tractors of the future.

Broughton High School Reading Partners

|

This morning, the children enjoyed meeting their reading partners from Broughton High School for the first time. The Year 8 pupils will be reading with the children for the next few weeks on a Monday morning. This is a great opportunity for the children to read different books and discuss them with their partners. Also, as stated by Lucy Mitchell, "This is a great way to make new friends."

Zoo 2 U visit :  file (1371.5k)

Yesterday, Key Stage 1 enjoyed a fantastic visit from Zoo 2 U. The children interacted with animals such as: meerkats, a snake, a possum and an owl. We all learnt lots of facts about the animals and discussed the similarities and differences between them. Please have a look on our school's Facebook page for more photos.
