We have been working extremely hard this half term and have completed some amazing homework. The children have loved sharing all their hard work in class, thank you for your continued support.
Life Education Van|
This week we had a visit from the Life Education Van, we learnt about how to keep our bodies healthy and we even met Harold!
This week we had a visit from the 'Community Champions'. We talked about the importance of being safe in the car and when crossing the road. We even had a ride around the 'road track' in some amazing cars.
On Tuesday we had a great time learning about the significance of Shrove Tuesday, we also experimented with different flavour combinations for our pancakes. They were delicious!
Spring 2 |
This term out topic is Growth. We have had a lovely first week back exploring vegetables by drawing, cutting and planting them. Please find attached the curriculum overview and homework for Spring 2.
Another snow day|
What an amazing day! We have played in the snow, made snowmen and snow angels and also went sledging.
We had a great afternoon playing in the snow.
Reception had a great time last week making and exploring 'alien slime'.
Recipe for slime:
Mix together 8 fl. oz. White School Glue and 1 TBSP baking soda in a bowl. Add desired amount of food coloring, then add 1 TBSP contact lens solution and mix until the slime begins to form.
We also added glitter to add colour and texture.
We have been star and planet gazing this week uisng the 'Skyview' app, if you have a spare minute this weekend please have a go, it is truly amazing.
Welcome back, we hope you all had a lovely Christmas break. We have been really busy with our new topic and have been exploring the new space station, flying to the moon with baby bear from 'Whatever Next' and making large scale space rockets in the outdoor provision.

Ash class made a wreath to remember all of those who fought in all the wars. It was placed on the alter at Friday's morning church worship.
